Another debut

Local(ish) lad Jonathan Greening first his first debut for York City FC back in 1996 having moved up from the youth ranks at the club. He went on to star for Manchester United, Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion. Now he's back. He's pictured here before the match against League leaders Plymouth Argyle with the match sponsors in the dugout prior to kick off. For the Yorkshire region folk, that's Phil Bodmer from BBC Look North second from the right. We were 0-2 down by half time, then after the interval Jonathan made his second debut for the club and his performance belied his 36 years as he got stuck in straight away and made some telling tackles. Some of his cross-pitch passes were incredible, picking out players from some 40-50 yards placing the ball on a sixpence for his teammates. We got one back and looked strong in the second half but still ended the game pointless. Signs of hope though because Plymouth aren't five points clear at the top by accident - they were very good.
