Castle Ashby

Castle Ashby is the ancestral home of the 7th Marquess of Northampton and is one of so many stately homes in Northamptonshire, a county that unless you live here, is little known. The M1 motorway runs through the county and most people are zooming through going north or south.
According to recent survey's, Northamptonshire is one of the most desirable places in which to live.
Henry Compton began work on Castle Ashby House in 1574 and building continued into the early 1600's. In 1624 the front façade was added by Inigo Jones.
