The Meriengspoort Pass

Today we visited the Cangol Caves in the morning as we are staying in the Little Karoo at Oudtshoorn. Then, friends of our SA relatives took us over the Swartberg Pass. They have a Land Rover which copes well with the dirt road. The Pass is about 1400 metres above sea level so the drive is taxing and the scenery magnificent. After lunch in Prince Albert we drove through the Meriengspoort Pass which was my favourite. The rock formations are amazing due to the colliding of the continental plates in this part of the world in the past. The extra is of the Cangol Caves.
