St Crispins Clock Tower

This is what is left of the old St Crispins Lunatic Asylum, and later called St. Crispin Hospital. It was opened on 30 June 1876 as the pauper lunatic asylum for Northamptonshire with 61 male and 54 female patients. It finally closed in 1995
I think it looks better in monochrome!

The local residents are hoping the whole site is going to be developed, as currently it resembles a war zone!! It has been lying derelict for many years.
