Mermaid(s)

Who would be
A mermaid fair,
Singing alone,
Combing her hair
Under the sea,
In a golden curl
With a comb of pearl,
On a throne?

Alfred Lord Tennyson

A day of utmost hedonism as TJ , Rosie and I headed off to Inchydoney Spa for belated birthday sprees. The theme was marine and here is TJ getting into siren-mode on the fabulous huge and shimmering Inchydoney beach.
Once inside we first plunged into the seawater pool - wonderful with its array of squirty and bubbly things all pounding or massaging various different bits of you. Next it was a warm seawater bath complete with added algae, very low lights, soothing music and very small paper knickers! A relax with views out to sea and fresh fruit to nibble on then back down into the treatment rooms for a marine scrub! I thought she might have drawn blood so vigorous was the exfoliating with Atlantic sea salt, tea tree oil and yes, more algae. It felt amazing. Just as I was glowing wildly, the next treatment began - an algae wrap! Seriously messy but incredibly soothing. Cocooned in many layers, giving off a seriously marine pong, I was then left, swaddled. Bliss. I now have mad hair, very smooth skin and a spaced out expression. An alternative to all this algae is chocolate - I can't quite imagine what that must be like!
