Louise - Changing Natures

Stravaiging & Weaving Magic

Another action packed day, which included attending the RSPB Nature of Scotland Awards tonight. Just wonderful to hear about so many passionate and committed people and communities dedicated to supporting, protecting and enhancing nature. We took along a couple of our young volunteers and it was brilliant to see how inspired they were by all the work going on across the country.

It was a fitting end to a day which saw this gorgeous gift arrive. I have been following on Twitter the amazing Cerys Trayner (@CerysTrayner) who is roaming (stravaiging) across Scotland, wild camping, for a whole year to raise awareness and funds for nature conservation. Did I mention she is doing it completely alone?! I have felt so inspired - and connected to the places she is in - through her photographs and writing about the wildness around her. What a woman!

Today this stunning gift turned up as a heartfelt thank you for sponsoring her - a beautiful Harris Tweed scarf and make up bag woven by Rosie Wiscombe based in Stornoway. Both the colours and the craft itself are things of natural beauty.

Do follow Cerys on her adventures, and perhaps give her a bit of warmth as these cold nights descend by sponsoring her? You can find all the info at:
