Winter has finally arrived

The snow forecast for last night didn't materialise in the end but it was a beautiful wintery day with biting cold wind and lots of sunshine.  Perfect weather for a walk up to the Old Pale.  It was stunning up there today with clear views over towards the dusting of snow on the Pennines.
