A car is not a home

The government of New Zealand has washed its hands of its obligation to provide housing services for the needy and the homeless in our community, and to build new affordable houses particularly in Auckland, where house prices have skyrocketed, driven by demand from foreign investors looking for a safe haven for their cash.

The Hikoi for Homes was a protest march to highlight these gross social injustices that are actively aided and abetted by a cold hearted government only interested in protecting the rights of the wealthy and the corporations.
