Fall Colors Framed

We left our apartment at ca. 9 a.m. this morning to drive back to Northampton. This was the view from the lobby (toward West 97th Street)--an intense reminder that at least at this latitude fall is not done. At home the leaves are almost completely off the trees.  We later learned that in Chicago (where my brother Bill lives), fall is certainly done, with the heaviest November snowfall in over 100 years.  Climate change? El Niño?  Your guess is as good as mine.
