Life of a bubble maker

Kilda

Shit day today. Kilda woke us up every 2 hours after she had gone to the toilet. Not the best thing after the long drive the last two days. Took her to the vets for her check up and injection. She seemed health but the vet says she has Lingual displaced lower canines. Her lower teeth aren’t in the right place and are pushing into the top of her mouth. Turns out It’s a hereditary thing but not all dogs get it in the litter. She recommended that we take her back to the breeder. Not what we were expecting.
Home to call up the pet insurance but we don’t think it’s covered as she has had it since birth. Spoke to a few other vets and some friends to get more info. Seems she will need an operation now to remove the puppy teeth and then another one when her adult teeth come through to file them down. We have spoken to the breeder and she has not heard of it before but agreed that we could take her back and get a refund.
We think we have managed to get into the dental vet in North Berwick to speak to them on Monday at some point. We will have to make the hard decision whether to keep her or give her back. Not sure how we are going to do this as we have been looking forward to having her for so long and are already very attached.

Spent the rest of the day watching the Race of Champions as it was on and coming to terms with what’s going on.
