Last week, as one wet, windy day succeeded another, with the dusk descending in mid-afternoon, I felt as if we'd never again enjoy a walk under a bright sky with barely a breath of wind - the kind of afternoon that makes living here unbeatable. But today we had just that.

This photo was taken from the Ardyne car park area just after we'd walked back along the farm road over to Loch Striven, marvelling at the setting sun and the glow in the sky. I was particularly taken with the peach glow on the water, and on the wet sand of the low tide.

Tomorrow we're back to rain, apparently ...
