Stir up Sunday.

I thought this could just about qualify as I had to do some stirring to make my clementine spiced gin. I've got 14 days to wait for it to infuse, but am keeping it for Christmas. If it's any good, I just about have time to make some more for presents.

I saw the idea for this when we popped out to the supermarket. I've not made it before, so hopefully it will taste good.

Recipe:

700ml gin
5 clementines, unpeeled, sliced
200g caster sugar
5 cloves
2 star anise.

Method:

Mix all ingredients together and pour into a large Kilner jar. Seal and leave to infuse for 10-14 days.
Strain and decant into bottles and serve with slices of orange.
