Weekend in The Lakes

Saturday
Snow was forecast for Friday night and sure enough, when we woke on Saturday morning, there was snow on the hills and we enjoyed a grand walk up Wetherlam, with snow, ice and sunshine (see extras).  I don't think I've walked in snowy mountains since I was a kid.

After stopping for lunch at the top though my fingers were rather cold... I think I need some decent gloves.

Sunday
Another beautiful clear, but cold, day.  No more walks though, but plenty of shopping for me, followed by coffee and cake.  My purchases included a pair of trainers, a Gortex shell jacket, insulated mittens and some thin gloves.  And I've joined the club that organised the meet.
