Sonoran Light

Tonight we went with a friend to see the Bruce Munro: Sonoran Light exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden. It includes eight large-scale, light-based installations which use an array of materials and hundreds of miles of glowing fiber optics. This one is called the Water-Towers, where 58 glowing towers grace the Garden among the saguaro cacti. All are made from water bottles and each tower has a speaker inside- music fills the area. I liked the display of 30,000 lights that covered the mountain side the best but could not resist the dramatic colors of this shot.
