By Appointment. Leica/Lumix Macro-Elmarit 45mm

I got to spend a little time with this lovely mid-19th century flute today.  It was made by the famous company of Rudall & Rose.  To let potential customers know just how  famous, the silver fine-tuning adjuster on the head joint has this exquisite casting of the British Monarch's coat of arms.  The instrument itself is made of cocus or granadillo wood (Brya ebenus) with eight silver keys.  For more on the company history, go here.
