Mahonia japonica

With its very jaggy leaves this plant is not easy to get close to. For me it's not the most attractive plant but the flowers are a beautiful shade of yellow and they certainly bring a splash of sunshine on a dull day.
According to Google, Mahonia japonica is one of the most handsome , winter flowering shrubs, with an imposing, upright habit that you cannot fail to notice.
