Alcatraz

Alcatraz was a Federal prison for only 29 years.  It was deemed too expensive to operate and was closed in 1963.  Very harsh but reliable conditions.  

Incarcerated the likes of Al Capone, Machine Gun Kelly, many famous inmates.
