Just a batch of cheese scones ?

Not quite.  One of the early signs of my mother's dementia was that she threw out stuff which should have been kept - like her old cookery book containing her celebrated recipe for cheese scones.  Mum would not have described herself as a good cook, but she did know her cheese scones.  It seemed like the recipe was gone for ever.  But thankfully she must have given a copy to my sister-in-law at some point, and Karen managed to find the recipe recently.  So the Salvation Army Christmas fair can have some of mum's cheese scones.
