Oliver's Produce

I had several things in mind to do today, but decided to proceed in order of necessity. Our dog walk was aborted when it started to rain, so we piled three wet dogs and three wet people into the car and went home to clean our respective houses and prepare for the arrival of the rest of the family this evening.

The first order of business was Oliver's, the market. OilMan was obsessed with getting there today to pick up our turkey. Wednesday is senior citizens' discount day, which tends to be a madhouse. When it falls on the day before Thanksgiving  even the employees admit that it is a madhouse.

I am posting a picture of the produce department, even though it wasn't the usual scene, crowded scene. Clearly everyone decided to divide and conquer the same way we did. The produce department was crowded with women and all the men were lined up in front of the butcher counter, arms folded across their chests waiting to pick up their turkeys.

The rest of the day was spent knocking down the dog hair and spider webs. The Los Angeles contingent has now arrived. Comments may be sparse until Saturday….
