Contrasts in Kintyre

I was in Campbeltown at lunchtime today , unusually for a Parliamentary sitting day.

Two weeks ago I was asked by the NFUS in Argyll if I could find a date to chair an urgent dairy farmers meeting in Kintyre. I managed - with help from colleagues - to arrange a couple of hours today but it did mean a five and a half hour drive to get back to Edinburgh for this evening.

The weather was much stormier on the west coast of Kintyre than it was in Cowal but the contrasts were often amazing - mist, spindrift, rain and sunshine all scudding past and sometimes even in the same view.
