Unusual weather vane on Holy Trinity Burrington

I am told this was designed to mark the millenium.  Burringon snuggles under the Limestone Mendip Hills and amongst the many rocky hillsides is a cleft where the vicar, the Rev. A. M. Toplady sheltered from a storm during his time  in the parish  1762-4 and was inspired to write the hymn 'Rock of Ages Cleft for me'

Opposite this cleft, high above me 16 mountain goats were nibbling down unwanted foliage - see extra
