Qingyuan

Qingyuan, a smallish Chinese city (population over 1 million) a few hours away from Guangzhou. It's not a famous area for tourists, but you can go whitewater rafting - which I definitely recommend - or watch the sunset as you cruise down the river. 
It's not a bad life in China.
