Pucker Up

So I did some re-pointing work on the front of the house today with the hubby. After washing the mortar off my hands, I saw just how puckered my fingertips were - they've never been this wrinkled up before! Feels very strange.

I remember hearing recently that your fingertips go prune-like not because the water is absorbed by the skin. Apparently, it is a response by your fingers to improve your grip in slippery situations. Still feels icky though.

Depending on how well a photo-shoot with my friend Laureline goes this evening, I might be replacing this blip with a prettier one!
