Life through the lens...

Back ache!

Back out walking with our friends today. The first proper walk for many weeks, and don't I know it!
The weather started off sunny, but after our lunch stop clouded over. However it stayed fine and quite warm. Too many layers of clothes, and so the fleece and scarf ended up in my rucksack .

Our walk started from Thorner, east of Leeds. ( see map)
A lovely village with a nice mix of old and new houses. One we have never been to before, as it is tucked away down a country lane. Very quiet, and yet so near to the centre of Leeds.

Not a difficult walk over farm land, and through woods.
Quite muddy in places, and we had a stream to cross. Sort of stepping stones, mostly under water and quite slippy. Fortunately no one fell in!

After 7. 2 miles we were glad to get back to the car.
Finished off with a drink in the pub.

Now looking forward to a good soak in the bath to ease my aching bones!!

The collage shows us crossing the stream. The path across a field.
Ivy twisted round an old tree. Some bright berries ( think they may be  black bryony) and a lovely pot of flowers on someones door step.
