Dying

I have no idea what this is although being in the Lady Baillie Garden it must be some sort of Meditterranean plant. I took the opportunity to leave the office for a quick walk in the lunchtime sunshine and took several photos of swans, the lake, a giant cactus, but it was this that appealed when I took the snap and when I reviewed the photos the one that still intrigued me. If i 'play' with editing at all I usually increase a bit of saturation or hues, but today I reduced. The grasses were so green, they seemed at odds with plant.
