Jousting in the rain

It was a day of some truly spectacular jousting in Linlithgow Castle today. The weather gods were trying to drown us, but it was well worth going. The knights showed some amazing skills in fights against each other and completing some tricky challenges (impaling heads of fallen enemies in full gallop was the best one, as the rubber heads were very squeaky in the damp) and in the nearby medieval camp there were arrow makers, a blacksmith and a wee catapult.

If anyone in Edinburgh has no interesting plans for tomorrow, it's all on again tomorrow afternoon!
