Heliotrope..........

..............Cherry Pie

These clusters of small flowers with a Yellow Admiral resting and feeding before taking flight are for BikerBear’s Flower Friday

This is the second Yellow Admiral to take flight. One Red Admiral has departed and another, the most recent to emerge from a chrysalis will probably fly away tomorrow.
For the moment it is sheltering inside from the awful gusts of wind that have made being outside rather unpleasant today.

Usually the evening is the nicest time of the day to work in the garden, but I doubt that I will be doing much outside this evening.

Extra photo
This is the same butterfly in profile showing just how hairy its body is.
I have yet to get a really good photo of the Red Admiral.

Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s ‘Waterwheel that can’t be seen’ It made an interesting Abstract Thursday blip and because the day was hot, sunny and glary it gave me these lovely colours.
