Northern Exposure

Red sky in the morning....

Dramatic sunrise again this morning. As the proverb says it's probably a sign of wild weather to come. Trouble is at this time of year we can almost guarantee fiery skies at both ends of the day.

So does that mean at some point in the middle of the night there is a wee gap of good weather or does it mean that shepherds and sailors have different opinions on what constitutes good and bad weather?

Or does it just mean that sailors and shepherds spend the darkest weeks of winter safely tucked up inside discussing the inefficiency of old weather proverbs? I doubt it, hopefully they now all rely on far more accurate forecasting methods.
