Day at a Time

By Tweedy

Still flowering - just

It's been a foul day as far as the weather's concerned with gusty winds and rain.  The morning was mild but now, as the light starts to fade, it feels a lot colder.  There's the thinnest line of sunset to the west and the rain has stopped.

I've been working from home and went into the garden for a breath of air about 3:30.  This rudbeckia, which I blipped earlier in the autumn, is still showing a tiny bit of colour but mostly the plants are nothing but seed heads now.  I leave the seed heads in case they're useful for the birds but they look untidy.  The garden should be entering a fallow period now but actually there are still plants putting out flower buds.  It has been so mild that I think the plants are confused.
