Walking along the footpaths in winter

I went for a short walk this morning showing the area to a friend who has recently moved here.  We walked along the South West Coast path spotting a Red Admiral butterfly and a Heron as we headed towards Sidmouth.  Taking a small footpath towards Otterton we walked up this narrow lane with its rusty coloured leaves filling the ground and green ferns and leaves lining the way.

We got out for the best part of the day as the sun appeared at various points and the walk but by the afternoon the wind had got up and the temperature dropped.
