Christmas Shopping

Today I was at my daughter’s home by 0705 hours ready to go to Cambridge Christmas shopping; we had to drop Victoria off at her college in the grounds of Addenbrookes Hospital. We always go this Friday, long before there was something called ‘Black Friday’. We started with a full English breakfast in BHS, well my daughter had breakfast I only had coffee. Then we visited the shops in the Grafton Centre, before walking over to the main town, where we visited several designer shops as well as many smaller ones. It was easy to buy toys when they were little, but now they want designer stuff, most of which was not on a black Friday deal; of course, they do not all want the same designer shop! Once loaded down with bags we walked back to the car, which was in the Queen Anne car park, before walking all the way back to Prezzo for lunch. More shopping followed before we walked back to the car. The town was busy at about 1030 hours, but in general, while we were there, the crowds were not really much busier than a normal day around Christmas time.

We then went, as is usual to Scotsdales Garden Centre mainly to have coffee and cake, but we did some more shopping in Scotsdales and then decided that as it was getting late we would come home.

Today’s picture, taken from the BHS café shows some of the decorations in the Grafton Centre as well as the BBC Look East cameraman and interviewer, waiting for the fights maybe? it was taken with my iPhone and security did not tell me off. My extra picture is the first lot of packages to be taken back to the car before lunch.

My FitBit told me that I had taken 20530 steps, I usually only do about 10000 a day.
