The Hands of Englishmen

Looking back toward Waterloo Station in London, from our train to Winchester, early this afternoon.  The title is an allusion to Alfred Stieglitz's 1902 photo, The Hand of Man.

I left my little Canon Powershot in our cab in Winchester, which made for a stressful afternoon, as I tried to track it down. I'd virtually given up hope by breakfast next morning at our B&B, when the doorbell rang: it was the taxi driver returning it. We'd called a couple more taxi companies and they evidently notified him where we are staying. A small miracle :)

More on Winchester in the next blip.
