Diana and Sue had tickets to see Flavia from strictly come dancing at the theatre in Milton Keynes last night. It was part of She's birthday present from Andrew. Andrew, Matthew and I joined them for a pre theatre meal and then went to a Weatherspoons for a few drinks whilst they saw the show. I chose the restaurant and it was a good choice but it was a year to the day and in the same location that She was the night Mags passed away. Not really ideal but maybe poignant.

Apart from drinks in the bar after badminton and drinking when out for a meal, I don't spend a lot of time in pubs. I can see the draw of Weatherspoons because 3 pints last night was about the same price as 2 anywhere else, so drink is a big part of the night out for the mainly young crowd that was out last night. To emphasise that point a group of 4 girls sat at the able next to us and they each had a cocktail in a gold fish bowl, fully to the top! I can't help thinking that they were probably designed to share. Having one each was not a particularly attractive look.
