Oh how happy we were to take off our thermal socks and enjoy the balmy weather in the Philippines.
Manila isn't the safest feeling city in the world, and our taxi drivers certainly had a lot of advice to give us when we were first driving from the airport to our hostel, but it is so much easier to fly there first and then get another flight out to one of the surrounding islands. And cheaper.
