First evening in Delhi - Sunset at Qutub Minaret

After an uneventful (if long) journey from London I arrived in Delhi at about 7.30am local time where I met the rest of the small group.  I was immediately struck by the sulphorous smell of the air and the heat.  After checking in to our accommodation we set off to explore the Qutub Minaret, the tallest stone built tower in India and the tomb of Humayun.

It was a lovely introduction and the sunset - at around 5.30pm - was beautiful.  Here you see it seen through some stonework.  It was to be the first of many.
