Field of Slush

The slush harvest is nearly ready.  Just too bad that the harvester is bogged down at the far end of the field.

It snowed this morning - and settled - the first this winter. The temperature has been hovering just above freezing all afternoon so some of it has already melted but it is supposed to be wintry again tonight. Autumn didn't last long this year.

I tried a telephoto shot towards the tractor+ harvester but didn't like the composition with the lead-in lines all coming out of the base.  I preferred this wide-angle view where the field margin provides a base to the image.
