Alloy

Forests of slag cover the surface of a titanium world.  I'm figuring out how to build a very-high-temperature furnace to melt steel filings at the Sculpture Studio.  This is a blob of titanium-copper alloy melted from some worn-out plasma cutter parts we had accumulated.  The underlying metal is reddish-brass colored with the darker red layer in this image on top and greenish-black slag above that.
