Olive(r?)

This is Oliver, or Olive as they aren't sure which, who very kindly consented to come out of his(her) enclosure and visit on Saturday. The extra is a full shot of the little screech owl and my daughter's hand holding her. She is an administrative intern at Glen Helen Ecology Camp and last year had to take care of one of the screech owl's in the raptor rehabilitation center  as part of her duties. We visited her this weekend and got to meet Oliver. We all drove up to Killdeer Plains hoping to see shorteared owls and though we didn't see what we hoped to see we did see ,which was unexpected, a whole pond full of tundra swans and northern shoveler ducks, 4 bald eagles(mom, dad and the twins), a peregrine, 2 redtails, a broadwing and a kestrel. None of which I got great shots of in spite of the 500mm lens. But we spent the day with Fi and the last pic is is from the walk at Glen Helen in the rain.
