Re-Vision: A Photo Journal

Colors of Light

I took bunches of shots right before dusk: several of the koi, the pond's waterfall, a gazing ball amid flowers, a bee ... but ultimately I loved the beautiful simplicity of this Hydrangea bloom at the most perfect stage of its growth. The fading soft sunlight highlighted every shade: from lime green of new growth to pale pink, to warm lavender, even a touch of the blue tones the shrub is meant to be. I love how it refuses to accept any one color's dominance right now, but rather chooses to embrace its multi-faceted personality!
