Gentrification

A small condo project (units starting at $150,000) is being built across the street from a park where homeless people congregate. Just down the street is where people in Alcoholics Anonymous meet. Nearby are services for homeless, poor and other people down on their luck.

A few blocks west a large condo tower is going up. I got a picture of it last month. Looks like Phoenix is doing what the rest of the big cities in this country are doing. Now that the recession is over and housing is in demand, expensive buildings are going up and outpricing us regular people.
