Venice Beach

We decided that the best way to see Los Angeles was to do the Hop On, Hop Off bus tour today. Our aim was to end up at Venice Beach, but we wanted to see as much of the city as possible too. Our first port of call was Beverly Hills, where we stopped to have a wander around all the fancy shops. The best part of Beverly Hills however is it's awesome police station, it's so fancy! I decided to save my bank account and not pop into any of the shops (we both felt really out of place).  Rory bought us fancy and expensive brownies, which he proceeded to lose when we got to Venice Beach.

Back onto the bus and we headed to Santa Monica pier. We went for a walk along the pier and had some lunch before renting a tandem for the afternoon. I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my life, we could not work out the tandem to begin with. We got there in the end and went for a cycle along to Muscle Beach and Venice beach and then back along towards Malibu. We didn't want to give the tandem back when our time was up.

Back to Hollywood for some drinks at the Hard Rock café before we have dinner. Such a great start to the holiday
