Red Ribbon

This is the ribbon I am wearing today for World AIDS Day. It was made in Malawi.

Worldwide, an estimated 34 million people are living with the virus. Over 35 million have died from AIDS since 1984. One of them was my friend Mathew who died in 1995 at the age of 32.

Twenty years later, HIV has not gone away, but the National Aids Trust are urging people to RETHINK - to challenge myths and stereotypes and to stay positive.
