So. Finally, the first day of the new job arrived:
- dress like a grown up
- battle wind and rain to get to the car
- drive to work (a new experience)
- battle with truculant pay and display meter
- stand in puddle
- do HR stuff
- do payroll and pension stuff
- do car parking permit stuff
- do IT stuff
- choose my desk
- meet lots of people
- meet some more people
- receive a surprise bunch of flowers from R who I used to work with
- drive home
- go to Booths
- food
