Splatter Screen

I started taking photos of the steam emanating from the pan my wife was using to cook dinner. It proved elusive, but then I noticed the condensation on the top of the splatter screen and focused in tight. Even though this is a full color photo, it comes across as black and white which is ideal for the abstract nature of the image. I love a shallow depth of focus and was happy with the sharpness considering the slow shutter speed I was forced to use.
