Unexpected mummy day

Being sick means 48 hours before the childminder will look after you, so I took today off work. We headed into town early for his eye clinic appointment - pleased with his assisted vision and his co-operation with the testing process (lots of looking at toys and pictures and then having funny glasses which cover one eye at a time) he liked the toys in the waiting room. Current plan is to repeat similar tests next time and do eyedrops and measuring again the time after. The good news is that he is seeing well with the glasses, he's seeing with both eyes, and he is using them together.

We filled the rest of the morning with a park, a cafe, failing to pay in two tiny checks because it took us just over six months to get round to it, some magic stairs and a lift, and a little Christmas shopping, before heading home for lunch and a nap and some telly. A nice day but mummy was glad to get a rest when daddy got home.
