Tiny Something or Other

I was searching around for a smallish thing to use for TinyTuesday and accidentally stumbled on this little shell of a thing on a rather sad leaf of the rather sad basil plant that's on the kitchen counter. It looks more like something shed by a small insect than an actual dead insect. But whatever it is, it's tiny! Less than 1/2 cm long. The rather sad basil was rescued from a dumpster by The Husband a while ago, so it's not as sad as it once was...
