Lavatera

On Monday evening, the local Photographic Society hosted a presentation by
Peter Paterson FRPS MPAGB MFIAP
The majority of his work was landscpe photography but I was quite taken by his still-life images which involved quite a bit of manipulation on the computer.

Today was dull and wet - all day. A perfect opportunity to try out the technique.

Recipe:
1 dead flower
1 small vase (water optional)
Gaussian Blur
Noise
Wallpaper
Distressed Border

Method:
Mix according to Peter Paterson's Instructions
Hope for the best

I have added a detail as an 'extra'

Like Peter, I have ignored normal compositional rules as I like the tension/balance created by the (relatively) large vase in one corner and the small flower on the end of a large lever in the opposite corner.
