Exmouth Poinciana pods

The trees in Exmouth are very few and those that do exist need to be tolerant to the harsh conditions of the North of Western Australia.

The poinciana has a vibrant red flower when in bloom and a lush green leaf.

It's seed pods are however very tolerant to the conditions and are a hard brown pod.

In the own right they can be viewed as beautiful or ugly.

If they an survive the conditions they are exposed to I think they can be given the benefit of being called beautiful.

These trees have been planted on the road verges and help to break what otherwise is a stark landscape.
