Port Loko District School Visit

Today we went on a six hour return trip to visit a school in the Port Loko district as well as the Port Loko Teacher Training College. In the school we met a group of learning assistants from the first cohort and heard about how they've been getting on. They haven't found things easy, and there have been a number of problems but the great thing is that most of the young women are still with the programme and the lessons learned can be used to hopefully make the second cohort's journey less problematic. This photo shows some of the learning assistants leaving the school where we held the meeting. It was a beautiful and remote setting.
