Heath Spotted Orchid

We were walking today in the Trossachs, and started at Brig o' Turk. There were loads of wild flowers on the banks of the path. I saw lots of Butterwort , carnivorous plants, their sticky leaves can trap and digest insects. I took photographs of them, but they are quite difficult to capture, as their flowers come out of the leaves, which are at ground level, and the flowers are very small and on long narrow stems.

So I settled for a Heath Spotted Orchid to show you, as these are very attractive and photogenic.

Our weather was lovely, warm and most of the time sunny, although it got dull later in the afternoon. Had a lovely stop at the Byre Inn before travelling home.
